The Water Hole UE4 (Personal)

This is a  piece to showcase the stages of creating a small playable environment within a UE4 planned open world setting. The initial inspiration for this level was the FarCry 5 gameplay trailers and using my knowledge of the FarCry series to create an outpost for the player to capture.

It mostly focuses on the key capture of a high point tower that the player can see from all entrances. The level will accommodate both stealthy and aggressive players and will give them access to different tools and positions along the way to defeat the defending enemies.

Visually the Cultists have ransacked the house/barn and have quite visibly been staging rituals at this site to ‘punish and cleanse the wicked’. The area around the waterhole is natural rural landscape with fields to the west and woodland growing naturally because of the proximity of the water.

Below, you will find screenshots of the level in development and I will be going into more detail and adding more in progress work throughout development.
